On September 3, 2017, at 2:09 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a two vehicle accident in the 200 block of East Walnut in Owensville, Indiana. Upon arriving Deputy Ben Kiesel located the driver 21 year old Levi Martin of Owensville and began an investigation into the accident where it appeared that Mr. Martin who was driving his White 2007 Passenger car struck a parked 2016 Hyundai. While speaking with Mr. Martin Deputy Kiesel suspected that Mr. Martin was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and began to determine his level of impairment. At the conclusion of Deputy Kiesel’s investigation Mr. Martin was transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He remains in custody on a $450 bond.
