Smoke drifting into the area is from numerous fires that are burning to the western and northern areas of California. There is no threat to Truckee area at this time. Remember to be very careful if camping around the area as the fire danger is very high due to increased temperatures and low humidities. Call local Forest Service 530-587-3558 for fire restrictions that are in place this holiday weekend.
