Good Friday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Thursday, 8/31/2017.

-Hwy 385 at FM 1585, Levelland: Vehicle Crash. Deputies were dispatched to a crash at the intersection. Deputies provided traffic control and assisted at the scene.

-500 blk E. 8th St, Anton: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a disturbance at a residence in the area. The caller advised an ex-boyfriend attempted to gain entry to the residence, damaged property, and fled the area. The individual was reportedly intoxicated, also. The area was searched and the individual was not located. A report was completed and an investigation is ongoing.

-FM 168 at Hwy 114, Smyer: Check Welfare. A deputy observed a vehicle stopped along the side of the roadway and stopped to check on the occupants. The individual was waiting in the area to pick up his child.

-FM 300 at FM 303, Levelland: Suspicious Vehicle. Deputies were dispatched to check on a vehicle parked in the area. The vehicle as unoccupied and no one was located in the area.

-6200 blk Ohio Rd, Anton: Disturbance. Deputies were dispatched to a possible burglary in progress at a residence in the area. A complainant advised someone was attempting to gain entry into the residence. The deputies searched the area and did not locate anyone. No damage was observed and there were no descriptions of possible suspects. Information was collected for a report.

-800 blk Alamo Rd, Levelland: Check Welfare. Deputies were dispatched to a residence regarding a possible request for a 911 call. Individuals were contacted and there was no emergency. The message requesting assistance was sent by accident.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow-up activities.
