The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Tipton County in western Tennessee... Southwestern Henderson County in western Tennessee... Northeastern Fayette County in western Tennessee... Hardeman County in western Tennessee... McNairy County in western Tennessee... Southwestern Hardin County in western Tennessee... Southern Haywood County in western Tennessee... Southern Madison County in western Tennessee... Chester County in western Tennessee...

* Until 1115 PM CDT

* At 521 PM CDT...Doppler Radar estimates 2 to 4 inches of rain has occurred over the past 3 hours. Showers and thunderstorms will produce an additional 2 to 5 inches of rain over the next 6 hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jackson, Brownsville, Henderson, Bolivar, Selmer, Chickasaw State Park, Chickasaw State Forest, Big Hill Pond State Park, Whiteville, Adamsville, Silerton, Masseyville, Hillville, Pocahontas, Jacks Creek, Dancyville, Cloverport, Mercer, Mifflin and Shiloh.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CHESTER ... FAYETTE ... HARDEMAN ... HARDIN ... HAYWOOD ... HENDERSON ... MADISON ... MCNAIRY ... TIPTON

Instructions:

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
