Burglary/Identity Theft Arrests

(Etowah County, Alabama) Four individuals have been arrested in connection to burglary and identity theft, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

William Austin Davis, 28, of Southside, is charged with one count of third degree burglary, one count of first degree theft of property, one count of identity theft, six counts of illegal possession of a credit/debit card and trafficking in stolen identity. Bond is set at $125,000.

Amanda Leigh Johnson, 31, of Southside, is charged with one count of identity theft and one count of illegal possession of a cred/debit card and trafficking in stolen identity. Bond is set at $31,500.

Christopher Joseph Hale, 31, of Gadsden, is charged with one count of third degree burglary, one count of first degree theft of property, one count of conspiracy to commit identity theft and one count of illegal possession of a credit/debit card. Bond is set at $40,000.

Amanda Denise Drew, 27, of Ashland, is charged with one count of third degree burglary, one count of first degree theft of property, one count of identity theft, and two counts of illegal possession of a credit/debit card. Bond is set at $40,000.

Christopher Hale stated to investigators that he drove his vehicle to a residence on Spout Springs Road, Attalla, where Amanda Drew and William Davis broke into the house and stole a rifle, jewelry, safe containing cash, personal documents, insurance information, Belk credit card and an Exxon Mobile credit card.

The group used the credit cards on several occasions at two local convenience stores and produced false credit cards using the stolen account numbers.

All four individuals are currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center.
