Fall Class Schedule

The Grapevine Police Department Community Outreach Center located at 3010 Mustang Drive (red portable buildings adjacent to GCISD Football Stadium) in partnership with Tarrant County College will be offering the following classes this Fall Semester: GED, Microsoft Word and Excel classes as well as ESL. Courses are taught by TCC instructors with the help of community tutors and take place in the computer lab at the Community Outreach Center.

The GED prep course prepares students for the general equivalency degree test. Courses begin the week of September 26 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM - 12 PM or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM or Saturdays (Bilingual) from 8 AM - 1 PM. Course includes 60 hours of classroom instruction, and require a refundable deposit of $70. The deposit is refunded if the student attends 75% of the classes.

The Microsoft Word and Excel course helps students become proficient with both programs pursuant to their career path. Session 1 begins the week of October 2 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. Session 2 begins the week of October 30 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. The cost of the course is $165. Students successfully passing the course will receive an $80 refund.

ESL offers a certificate in English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes. Course begins the week of September 5 on Tuesdays from 10 AM - 12 PM. Course includes 56 hours of classroom instruction, and require a refundable deposit of $50. The deposit is refunded if the student attends 75% of the classes.

An English Conversation Club is held weekly on Thursdays from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. The Club partners native English speakers with speakers of other languages in order to facilitate learning and community building.
