Heavy rain continues in the entire District. Another 10-15 inches is likely this morning and into the afternoon. 
Rain will continue for hours to come. This is a dangerous storm and many roads are currently impassible with more becoming impassible by the moment.
Please stay off the roads and shelter in place at your home. Only call 911 if you believe your life is in imminent danger.
We are currently assisting in the evacuation of numerous residents, and will continue to respond to the needs of the community.
