At this time, we can advise that at least nine arrests have been made and a number of firearms have been recovered as a result of this morning’s investigation. Each arrested individual had a criminal arrest warrant issued for them prior to this morning's operation. The warrants were served in Oakland and additional cities. No injuries have been reported associated to this morning’s investigation.
This investigation identified individuals involved in criminal activity, which include murder, conspiracy to commit murder, shootings, robberies, home burglaries and gun possession. The department’s strategy in identifying these individuals was based on data collection and intelligence driven information.
Additional detailed information will be provided by the OPD Media Unit after the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has had an opportunity to review and charge each individual case.
