The ECPD now has a warrant to arrest the suspect in the attempted sexual assault committed on Aug 22nd. 
After publicizing the photographs of the suspect in this attempted sexual assault, the ECPD obtained identifying information about the suspect.
An off-duty law enforcement officer from another agency saw the suspect on the television news and recognized the suspect. He contacted the ECPD.
After further investigation and confirmation, the ECPD now has an arrest warrant, signed by a Contra Costa County Judge, for the arrest of Mario Xavier Hills, 28 years of age, last known address in San Francisco.
If anyone knows his whereabouts, we ask that they notify law enforcement. It is believed that the suspect traveled to El Cerrito via BART, so persons on or around BART are advised to be cautious.
The ECPD wishes to thank the public for their assistance in identifying this violent offender.
