With the start of the new school year approaching, the Plum Borough Police Department would like to take this time to remind borough residents that the first day of school for St. John the Baptist is Monday, August 22, 2017 and the Plum Borough School District is on Monday, August 29, 2017.

As always with the start of a new school year there is an increase in traffic throughout the borough due to the addition of school buses, school employees, parents and juvenile pedestrian traffic on our roadways. Please adjust your morning and afternoon travel routines to compensate for these changes.

Also, Plum Police Officers will be monitoring school zones and making concerted efforts throughout the borough to enforce vehicle code violations such as speed limits, stop signs, and school zone violations to ensure the safety of our students and motorists alike.
