Theft Suspects
-
South Brunswick Police are looking to identify suspects in two recent thefts. Both suspects stole items from area convenience stores during the month of July. Both suspects’ images were captured on store surveillance systems.

Suspect #1 stole items from the Quick Chek store on the corner of Route 27 and Henderson Road on July 12, 2017. He entered at the store at 3pm and proceeded to steal several items while an employee was distracted. He was observed fleeing the store on a bicycle.

Suspect #2 stole items from the 7 Eleven on Route 1 as well as the Quick Chek on Route 27. In both cases the suspect asked the clerk for cartons of cigarettes. After the clerk produced the cartons the suspect grabbed them and fled prior to paying.

Anyone who can identify the suspects is asked to call South Brunswick Detective Bureau at (732) 329-4000 ext 7443.

Burglary Investigation -

South Brunswick Police are investigating a reported burglary in the Princeton Walk Development. Police were called on Thursday evening to a Brookwood Court home on a reported theft. Officers arrived and spoke to two residents of the home. The residents said they came home from walking their dog and found their front door partially open. Officers searched the residence and discovered some rooms ransacked. Officers determined the residents’ parents were away on vacation and they had thrown a party the night before. The residents indicated approximately 50 high school aged people attended the party but they did not know most of them. They advertised the party on Snapchat and people showed up from all over the area including some from Montgomery, Hillsborough, and South Brunswick.

The residents believed some thefts occurred during the party but were unsure what was taken. Officers located multiple doors and windows unlocked in the home. The suspects took two laptops but left other items behind. The residents said there was an envelope in one room with $100 in cash but the suspects only took $70 dollars.

Neighbors reported the residents were holding several gatherings in the days since their parents went away on vacation. Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to call Detective Tim Hoover at (732) 329-4000 extension 7443.
