At 7:07 a.m., Officer Lastrape responded to the 6900 block of Stevenson Blvd. on the anonymous report of a male asleep inside a vehicle on the property.  The male exited his vehicle and officers recognized quickly that he was intoxicated.   The male seemed confused and did not know why he was there.  The 39 year old adult male, Ontario resident, was arrested and booked at the Fremont Jail for being drunk in public.

#013 Robbery Arrest
At approximately 11:18 a.m., an armed robbery occurred in the area of Bayfield/Millbrook after the victim came to the scene with $800 to purchase a cell phone.  A witness chased after the suspect who was last seen running on Grimmer towards Blacow Rd.  The witness stated the suspect had a gun in his hand while running.  A perimeter was established and a canine search of the area was conducted with negative results.  Detectives and SIU responded to assist patrol with the ongoing investigation.  A residence was identified as being of interest and several people were contacted leaving the house. Eventually an 18 year old adult male suspect was located inside the residence.  After some negotiations by on scene personnel, the suspect came out of the residence and was detained without incident.  The suspect was positively identified during two separate in-fields.

Traffic - Three roadway incidents created heavy commuter traffic Friday afternoon. First there was a fire along SR84/Vallecitos RD in the Livermore area.  Due to the proximity of the fire, the road was temporarily closed at I680.  In addition, a car stalled in Niles Canyon and Cal-Trans was also doing “slab repair” on northbound I680 at Castlewood.   All of these incidents caused traffic to begin backing up on our City roadways early in the afternoon.  The entire Traffic Unit and several patrol officers who held over from day shift responded out to complaint areas and helped with the traffic congestion.

At 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the 39100 block of Liberty Street, after private security called to report a female was refusing to leave.  The reporting party wanted FPD to serve her with a trespass notice.  Officers arrived and contacted the woman who refused to identify herself.   Officer Gerber arrested the female for obstructing/resisting arrest and when she arrived at the jail, she still would not tell us her name.  Officer Gerber was able to later identify her as a 32 year old adult female, Fremont resident.  She was found to be on probation for resisting arrest and Officer Gerber added a probation violation.

#036 Gun Call
A reporting party dialed 9-1-1 when they saw a male in front of their house holding a gun.   As officers were arriving, the RP advised they heard what they thought was a gunshot.  Officers located the involved parties and were able to safely detain them.  Officers located a replica “MP-5”pellet (airsoft) gun on an 18 year old male.  Case investigated by Officer Macciola.

#006 Auto Burglary
At 4:47 a.m., officers responded to the 3600 block of Norfolk Rd after a reporting party called regarding a car alarm.  The reporting party observed two suspects with a flashlight looking through the interior of the vehicle and it’s trunk.  Officers arrived and attempted to detain the suspects, however, they fled in a black GMC.  The officers initiated a pursuit onto northbound Fremont Blvd.  The pursuit was terminated when the suspects began driving on the wrong side of the road.  They were last seen entering I880 from Stevenson Blvd.  Officers found that the victim vehicle was actually an unreported stolen vehicle out of Fremont.  Case investigated by Officer Sun.
