Deputies are searching for Danny Ray Guzman wanted for assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder

INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon / Attempt Murder
LOCATION: 7000 block of Victoria Ave in the City of Highland
SUSPECT: Danny Ray Guzman, 31 years old, transient in Highland
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 5:56 p.m. Highland deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Victoria Ave. after receiving a 911 call of an assault in progress. The caller said a male was beating a female and several witnesses observed Danny Ray Guzman beating the victim in the face and head. Guzman fled the scene on foot prior to deputies arriving on scene and is still outstanding. Paramedics responded and treated the victim for head injuries.
Danny Guzman was positively identified by several witnesses. He is described as Hispanic male, 5'04", approximately 116lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is on active parole and is wanted for abscounding.
