A power pole fire with live wires has occurred in the area of 46th St & W Balboa Blvd on the Peninsula 
Newport Beach Fire and Police Departments are currently working a power pole fire in the area of West Balboa Blvd & 46th Street in Newport Beach.
Both directions of Balboa will be closed, from River Ave to 44th Street. This is due to the hazardous condition. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes until further notice.
