07/23/17 WTPD arrested Karen Knapp, age 57, of Liberty Twp., NJ for a $1000.00 outstanding arrest warrant out of Washington Borough. Ms. Knapp was processed and lodged in the WC Jail.

07/25/17 WTPD arrested Charles Kiernan, age 22, of Hackettstown, NJ for being an NCIC wanted person out of the Morris County Sheriff’s Department and having a $100.00 outstanding warrant out of Newark. On 07/25/17 at approximately 2:38 PM, patrol observed Mr. Kiernan, who was known to have outstanding warrants, on W. Washington Ave in Washington Borough. The officer made contact with Mr. Kiernan, confirmed the active warrants, and took him into custody without incident. He was processed and turned over to the Morris County Sheriff’s Department.

07/25/17 WTPD arrested Cody Hurd, age 26, of Washington, NJ for being an NCIC wanted person out of the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Department. On 07/25/17 at approximately 4:09 PM, patrol observed Mr. Hurd, who was known to have an outstanding NCIC warrant, on E. Washington Ave in Washington Borough. The officer made contact with Mr. Hurd, confirmed the active NCIC warrant, and took him into custody without incident. He was processed and lodged in the WC Jail until the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Department could pick him up.

07/28/17 WTPD arrested Steven Snook, age 23, of Hackettstown, NJ for outstanding warrants totaling $3100.00 out of Hawthorne, Paterson and Newark. On 07/28/17 at approximately 2:17 PM, patrol observed Mr. Snook, who was known to have outstanding warrants, in the 400 block of Rte. 57 E. in Washington Township. The officer made contact with Mr. Snook, confirmed the active warrants, and took him into custody without incident. Mr. Snook was processed and released with new court dates.

07/28/17 WTPD arrested William Rooney Jr., age 26, of Washington, NJ, for driving while intoxicated (DWI). On 07/28/17 at approximately 1:52 AM, patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 57 E. in Washington Borough. The officer’s investigation resulted in the driver, Mr. Rooney’s, arrest for (DWI). He had a BAC of .17%. Mr. Rooney was charged with careless driving and (DWI). He was processed and released with a mandatory court date.

07/28/17 WTPD arrested Michael Broennle, age 40, of Washington, NJ for simple assault and harassment. Mr. Broennle was processed and lodged in the WC Jail.

07/29/17 WTPD arrested Alonzo Widenor Jr., age 24, of Oxford, NJ for a local ordinance of maintaining a nuisance. On 07/29/17 at approximately 2:27 AM, patrol responded to Philbert’s Pub, 101 W. Washington Ave in Washington Borough for a suspicious person climbing a light pole. Upon patrol’s arrival, Mr. Widenor was observed climbing up the light pole. Mr. Widenor was taken into custody without incident and charged with a local ordinance of maintaining a nuisance. He was processed and released with a mandatory court date.

08/01/17 WTPD arrested a juvenile male, of Washington, NJ for possession of drug paraphernalia and a juvenile male, of Milford, NJ for possession of (CDS) under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. On 08/01/17 at approximately 3:09 AM, patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop on E. Washington Ave in Washington Borough for driving erratically. The officer’s investigation resulted in the duo’s arrest. The driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, driving after hours on a probationary driver’s license, and failure to use a turn signal. The juveniles were processed and released to a parent/guardian pending further court action within the juvenile justice system.

08/02/17 WTPD arrested Brian Crawford, age 23, of Washington, NJ for a $500.00 outstanding warrant out of Washington Borough. On 08/02/17 at approximately 2:14 PM, patrol observed Mr. Crawford, who was known to have an outstanding warrant, in the 40 block of E. Church St. in Washington Borough. The officer made contact with Mr. Crawford, confirmed the active warrant, and took him into custody without incident. Mr. Crawford was processed and released with new court dates.

08/03/17 WTPD arrested Charles Denning, age 38, of Washington, NJ for a $500.00 outstanding warrant out of Washington Township. On 08/03/17 at approximately 4:57 PM, patrol observed Mr. Denning, who was known to have an outstanding warrant, walking on Employee Rd. in Washington Township. The officer made contact with Mr. Denning, confirmed the active warrant, and took him into custody without incident. Mr. Denning was processed and released with new court date.

08/03/17 WTPD arrested Joseph Reiner, age 50, Theresa Wilson, age 50, Kim Plunk, age 40, and Jeffrey Eckert Jr., age 37, all of Washington, NJ. On 08/03/17 at approximately 5:48 AM, patrol responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of Belvidere Ave in Washington Borough. Upon the officer’s arrival and subsequent investigation, Mr. Eckert was found to be an NCIC wanted person out of the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office, was located hiding in a closet. Mr. Eckert was arrested without further incident and charged with hindering apprehension. Further investigation resulted in Mr. Reiner’s arrest for simple assault. Both Mr. Reiner and Mr. Eckert were processed and lodged in the WC Jail. Ms. Plunk and Ms. Wilson were also arrested for hindering apprehension. Ms. Plunk and Ms. Wilson were processed and released with a mandatory court date.

08/03/17 WTPD arrested Charles Pickett, age 26, of Washington, NJ for being an NCIC wanted person out of the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Department. On 08/03/17 at approximately 6:05 PM, patrol observed Mr. Pickett, who was known to have an outstanding NCIC warrant, walking in the 200 block E. Washington Ave in Washington Borough. The officer made contact with Mr. Pickett, confirmed the active NCIC warrant, and took him into custody without incident. He was processed and lodged in the WC Jail until the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Department could pick him up.

08/04/17 WTPD arrested Ronisha Victor age 21, of Washington, NJ for a $500.00 outstanding arrest warrant out of Washington Township. Ms. Victor was processed and released with a new court date.
08/05/17 WTPD arrested James Smith, age 43, of Alpha, NJ for outstanding warrants totaling $1600.00 out of Phillipsburg. On 08/05/17 at approximately 5:44 PM, patrol was approached by Mr. Smith while running stationary radar on Rte. 31 N. in Washington Township, who was requesting a ride. The officer made contact with Mr. Smith, in reference to a transport and upon further investigation it was revealed that Mr. Smith had active warrants for his arrest. Mr. Smith was taken into custody without incident, processed and released with a new court date.

08/05/17 WTPD arrested Jason Theurer, age 44, of Staten Island, NY for outstanding warrants totaling $477.00 out of Jefferson Township and Newark. On 08/05/17 at approximately 10:49 PM, patrol was conducting a routine patrol of Oxford Furnace Lake Park in Oxford Township. At that time, the officer located a group of men fishing. Upon further investigation it was revealed that one of the men, Mr. Theurer had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Mr. Theurer was taken into custody without incident, processed and released with a new court date.
