Newberry County Coroner Laura G. Kneece along with Newberry City Police Department and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) responded to Holloway Street in Newberry County in the early morning hours of August 2, 2017 in reference to a family dispute, one member of the dispute was transported for medical treatment, the other member was pronounced on scene.
Coroner Kneece has identified the victim in this incident as 48 year old Mark Edward Graham. An autopsy was performed today, August 2, 2017, on Mr. Graham concluded that the immediate cause of death was Asphyxia due to Strangulation. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide.
This incident remains under investigation of Newberry City Police Department and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
