HCSO Media Availability: Sheriff Moves to Protect Deputies , Public From Exposure To Dangerous Opioids.

(Harris County, TX) Harris County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Edison Toquica will be available to the media for questions on Sheriff Ed Gonzalez‘s actions to protect deputies and the public from exposure to dangerous opioids.

The equipment that will be issued to deputies and the inhalable antidote Narcan will be on display for viewing.

Earlier in July, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office joined with other local law enforcement agencies to announce that officers will no longer conduct “field tests” of suspected drugs because of the dangers of possible exposure to Fentanyl and Carphentanil.
