The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Southern Vernon Parish in west central Louisiana...
* Until 1045 AM CDT
* At 843 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain has already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Leesville, Rosepine, Fort Polk, Deridder, New Llano, Burr Ferry, Cravens, Evans and Pickering. Additional rainfall of one to 2 inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
* AFFECTED AREAS: VERNON
