Flood Advisory until 12:00PM

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas for... Southeastern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southwestern Hancock County in southern Mississippi...

* Until noon CDT

* At 856 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Slidell, Pearl River, Pearlington, Lacombe and Slidell Airport. Radar is already estimating just under 2 inches of rain between Slidell and Lacombe along I 10. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
