Flood Advisory until 05:45PM

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Northwestern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until 400 PM CDT

* At 303 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Covington, Abita Springs, Folsom, Sun and Bush.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ST. TAMMANY

Instructions:

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely. A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
