On July 18, 2017, at 2:46 a.m. Deputy Ben Kiesel was traveling on Interstate 69 near the 26 mile marker when he observed a Silver 2004 Chevy passenger car travel left of center multiple times. Upon conducting a traffic stop Deputy Kiesel identified the driver as 32 year old Apollonia Nelson of Evansville, Indiana. During the traffic stop Deputy Kiesel ran Ms. Nelson through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that she was operating a vehicle on a suspended driver’s license with a prior conviction. At that point Ms. Nelson was placed into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail where she was charged with Driving While Suspended/Prior. She remains in custody on a $650 bond.
