(Etowah County, Alabama) A Boaz woman was arrested for theft of property of a motor vehicle, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Stacy Leigh Camper, 32, of Boaz, was arrested and charged with one count of first degree theft of property (motor vehicle), which is a felony,” investigator Adam Chapman said.

Camper stated to investigator Chapman that she stole a 2008 Nissan Altima from a residence on Mizell Circle. She drove the vehicle to a fast food restaurant and then left it in the parking lot of a store in Albertville. The car was recovered and returned to the rightful owner.

She was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on a $5,000 bond for the theft warrant.
