7/06 – 12:31 a.m. – Police received a 9-1-1 call, in reference to a road rage incident. A female motorist reported she was being followed by a vehicle since the east end of Belleville. She reported the vehicle was tailgating, flashing the headlights and honking their horn. The Millstadt Officer located the vehicle and performed a traffic stop on West Washington Avenue. The vehicle was occupied by three 16 year-old juveniles, from the Belleville/Swansea area. The driver stated he was driving in such a manner because the female had passed them in Belleville. The driver of the vehicle was charged with Following too Closely, and two Graduated Driver’s License violations for driving with unauthorized number of passengers, as well as driving after curfew. The parents of the juveniles were contacted.
