Assault Suspect - Alpine

Investigators with the Alpine Sheriff' Station want your help in identifying and locating a man suspected of attacking a woman in Alpine.

It happened between 7:15 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. on June 20th. The victim, a 63-year-old woman, says she was out for a walk along Harbison Canyon Road near Hunter Pass when a man came up from behind and pushed her into a fence. He may have also possibly hit her in the face with his hands or an unknown object.

A driver saw the woman lying face down on the ground and reported the incident to the Sheriff's Department. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries to her face, including cuts and bruises.

The suspect is described as a white man between 20 and 30-years-old with short unkempt hair. He was wearing a light colored t-shirt.

Before she was attacked, the victim says she saw a light colored single cab truck parked along Harbison Canyon Road. It's not known if the truck is related to the case.
