Advisory

Reminder: Avoid the East Beach and North Shoal area of Pritchard Park due to past creosote contamination.

You may be one of many who enjoy strolling along the beaches at Pritchard Park. EPA and the Washington Department of Ecology want to remind the local community around the Wyckoff/Eagle Harbor Superfund site that portions of the beaches east and north of “the Point,” the site’s former processing area, are still contaminated.

This fact sheet: [https://semspub.epa.gov/work/10/100044519.pdf] tells how to identify creosote and offers tips to help you stay safe this summer.
