Firework Calls for Service:
July 4 - Fremont Dispatchers entered 75 firework related calls for service 
July 5 – 3 firework calls for service were entered between midnight and 1:40 a.m.
No citations were issued.  A very small quantity of safe & sane as well as dangerous fireworks were voluntarily surrendered by the users.  No explosives were confiscated. In most cases the  parties were gone before police/fire arrival.

#004 Trespassing
Officers responded to a business in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave.  The shop owner recognized a male who previously stole the tip jar from the store.  Officers contacted a 25 year old adult male Fremont resident and issued a trespass warning.

#012 Petty Theft
At 12:25 p.m., officers were detailed to the 400 block of Mowry Ave to investigate a petty theft.  The victim reported she set her phone down on the counter and someone stole it.  A review of the store security footage provided enough information to identify, track down and arrest the suspect.  Arrested for theft was 38 year old San Jose resident Roberto Aguirre-Gutierrez.  Case investigated by FTO Madsen the Officer Floresca.

#013 Warrant Service
Sgt. O’Connell conducted a traffic stop and arrested Edward Meier (M61) for his felony domestic violence warrant.

#024 Unlicensed Driver
Officer Scherer conducted a traffic stop and arrested Terrance Peoples (M32) for being an unlicensed driver.

#031 Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
At 7:39 p.m., officers responded to the 41000 block of Fremont Blvd to investigate a theft and stolen vehicle.  A suspect walked into the store and stole several car cleaning products.  When a witness confronted him, the suspect threated to physically assault him.  The caller provided a suspect description and a vehicle license plate that came back to a stolen vehicle.  The caller stated that the suspect had walked to a parking lot and was using the stolen items on a parked red Honda Accord.  Officers detained Raman Naidu (M35).  Based on the investigation, Officer Catassi arrested Naidu and booked him into Santa Rita Jail on charges of petty theft, taking a vehicle without owner’s permission, committing mail theft, receiving known stolen property and other fraud related charges.  The vehicle was confirmed stolen from the 5000 block of Mowry Ave earlier in the day.

#007 DUI Arrest
A call of a traffic collision came in at 5:48 a.m., in the area of Warm Springs / E Warren. A single vehicle collided into the center divider. The driver, Aaron Cisneros-Maldonado (M20), was contacted and placed under arrest for DUI by Officer Wong.

#024 Possession of Burglary Tools and ID Theft
Officer Harvey conducted a traffic stop in the area of Wilburn Pl. and Central Ave. During the stop, he arrested James Robinson (M36) for identity theft and Marcus Anderson (M30) for burglary tools. 

#001 Robbery (Late Report)
At approximately 10:40 p.m.,  a victim stated she was robbed at Los Cerritos Park. She was approached by a male suspect who pointed a handgun at her. The suspect took her wallet and iPhone. The suspect was last seen running towards Nicolet. Approximately 40 minutes lapsed until the victim was able to report the robbery. Investigated by Officer Fuellenbach.
Suspect description:  Black male adult, Mid 20’s, 30 years old, 6’, 140 – 160lbs, thin build, with dreadlocks and wearing all black.

#003 Robbery
At approximately 1:35 p.m., a victim reports he was drinking with friends near Fremont/Country Drive when he was robbed. He was approached by a male suspect who appeared intoxicated. The suspect complained about the victim and his friends being too loud and then struck him with a flashlight. After striking the victim, the suspect took a baseball hat the victim was wearing and fled towards the Rancho Luna Apartment complex. Investigated by Officer Fuellenbach.
Suspect description:  Black male adult, approximately 40 years old, 6’1”, 230 lbs, wearing a red T-shirt and shorts.
