Safe and Sane Fireworks permissible on the 4th of July from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. only. Read further for additional restrictions. 
Due to extreme fire dangers in California and to make sure everyone in the community can enjoy the holiday, the City encourages everyone to have an enjoyable and safe 4th of July by ensuring the use of Safe and Sane fireworks, making sure children are supervised at all times, and don't forget to bring your pets inside. In addition, fireworks cannot be modified or altered and not allowed in City parks.
Failure to comply with the City's ordinance may result in the confiscation of the fireworks and fines ranging from $500 - $1,000. Feel free to visit the City Website, press releases for more info. at www.montereypark.ca.gov
