The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.
June 26th
559 Hours: Officer Rivera investigated a burglary on the 37900 block of Central Court. The loss is construction tools.
1014 Hours: Officer Rivera investigated a burglary at ITea, 34925 Newark Boulevard. The loss is an IPad, cell phone and cash in the register.
1346 Hours: Sergeant Todd investigated a hit and run accident on the 35200 block of Newark Boulevard.
1631 Hours: Officers contacted and arrested a 21 year old Newark male for illegal fireworks sales on the 5200 block of Sussex Place. Officers confiscated over 100 pounds illegal fireworks. The Alameda County Bomb Squad responded to collect and dispose of the fireworks. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
1701 Hours: Officer Wallace documented a reported hit & run traffic collision that occurred on the 5600 block of Robertson Avenue.
1840 Hours: Officer Cervantes investigated the theft of a black 1993 Honda Civic (CA License #4PYP237) from the Pick N Pull parking lot, 7400 Mowry Avenue.
