6/24 1100 hrs. UPDATE. Agnella Zapotochny was found conscious and talking. Being transported to a local hospital.

UPDDATE 6/24/17. 1100am
Agnella Zapotochny was found conscious and talking to rescuers in the woods south of I-295 N/B north of Rt. 73. She was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Her family wishes to thank all the first responders and volunteers in bringing about a successful resolution.

Moorestown Police wants to recognize our law enforcement partners at the NJSP, Mt. Laurel & Maple Shade PD, Local Fire Companies, NJ TF-1, Volunteer Search & Rescue, Burlington County OEM & CERT and especially K9 Search Dog Storm for their help reuniting Agnella with her family under less than favorable conditions.

Information indicates the on the day she disappeared, Agnella Zapotochny walked out of Moorestown south along the northbound shoulder of Rt. 73 and then north along the northbound shoulder of I-295. The search will be concentrated in the area of Rt. 73 and northbound on I-295. Please share this information with friends and neighbors. We would like to thank the residents who have expressed an interest in helping with the search, but we have sufficient trained personnel ready to assist. We don't want to risk injury to untrained people.

6/23/17 UPDATE: Agnella Zapotochny is still missing. Residents are being advised that Moorestown and area first responders along with the NJOEM Wide Area Search Team and New Jersey State Police personnel will be searching areas of Moorestown & Maple Shade beginning at 8 am on 6/24/17. Searchers will be in uniform and/or wearing safety vests. Any residents with information or questions should call the Moorestown Police at (856) 234-8300.

Agnella Zapotochny suffers from dementia and is missing from her home on the unit block of Cottage Ave. She is 84 years old, 5-05 tall, 150lbs, last seen wearing navy blue shirt with "cape may" light and blue pants with a white stripe. If you see her please contact the police immediately at 856-234-8300.
Residents of Moorestown & surrounding areas are asked to check any outbuildings, garages, etc on your property in case she took refuge during yesterdays storms. Help us bring Agnella safely back to her family.
