Vigilant neighbors confront home invasion robbery suspect.

Officers arrest juvenile suspect for home invasion robbery.

On June 11, 2017, a home-invasion robbery occurred on Peregrine Way as a female victim pulled into her garage.  Two suspects entered the garage and struggled with the victim over the keys.  The victim’s 74 year old husband intervened and was battered by one of the suspects.  The two victims and neighborhood witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a newer maroon Honda Accord paper license plates.

On June 14, 2017, the victim family reported the same suspects had returned to their house and were attempting to break in while they were home.  The suspects were scared away by the victims.  A neighborhood canvass generated surveillance cameras with video of the suspect car.  Additionally, several neighbors witnessed the suspects run from the victim house.

The following day, on June 15, 2017, numerous residents called FPD and reported the same suspects had returned to the neighborhood once again in the same vehicle.  The callers also reported that a group of neighbors were in a confrontation with one suspect.

Patrol officers arrived shortly after and detained a 15 year old male, 14 year old female, and 10 year old female.  Officers also discovered the suspect vehicle was stolen out of Union City.  The victims and witnesses identified the 15 year old male as the suspect in all of the incidents.  Detectives interviewed the suspect who confessed to the crimes.  The two females were questioned and released to their guardians.

The male suspect was arrested for two counts of home invasion robbery, elder abuse, and possession of a stolen vehicle.  He was later booked at Juvenile Hall.  The male suspect and detained females names/photos are not being released since they are all juveniles.

We would like to thank the Peregrine Neighborhood for their assistance and willingness to help their fellow neighbors.
