Yesterday, Clayton County Police and The Clayton County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a man being shot in the front yard of a residence on Roxbury Dr in RIverdale. Upon arrival, PD officers observed a male victim shot in the chest and began to administer CPR. An ambulance arrived and took over, transporting the victim to Southern Regional where he succumbed to his wounds and died.

Clayton County Homicide Detectives arrived and worked tirelessly for 24 hours identifying Jamauri Jones as the trigger man. This morning, they secured a warrant for Jones arrest for murder.

Members of Sheriff Victor Hill's elite Fugitive Squad surrounded Jones today at a location in College Park and took him into custody without a fight.

Jones is now facing the wall at Georgia's toughest para-military jail.
