HEAT ADVISORY -
The National Weather Service has advised that today's weather will feature higher than average temperatures. Please make sure that everyone avoids overheating and drinks plenty of water. Outside activities should be restricted in the afternoon hours. Those seeking to escape the heat should consider a visit to the library. Neither pets nor children should be left in vehicles - just too dangerous.
Several communities have experienced power losses because of the extreme heat over the past few days. Have a plan on what you'll do in case the power goes out. By keeping refrigerators and freezers closed, they are likely to keep food safe for longer periods of time.
Stay cool and stay hydrated!
