The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

June 20th

0830 Hours: Officer Mapes investigated graffiti that occurred at Lincoln School and Snow School.

1647 Hours: Officers responded to a multi-vehicle accident on Cherry Street at Mowry Avenue. One person was transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

1706 Hours: Officers responded to the 36300 block of Beech Place on a report of vandalism in progress. Officer Jackman contacted and arrested a 34 year old Oakland female for felony vandalism. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.

2014 Hours: Officer Wallace contacted and arrested a 53 year old Fremont male for disorderly conduct / being under the influence of alcohol on the 36800 block of Cedar Boulevard. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

2151 Hours: Officer Khairy investigated an auto burglary on the 3100 block of Newpark Mall. The loss is a backpack and laptop computer.

0049 Hours: Officer Wallace contacted and arrested a 59 year old Newark male for his outstanding warrants. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
