The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of Louisiana and southeast Texas, including the following areas, in Louisiana, Acadia, Allen, Avoyelles, Beauregard, Calcasieu, East Cameron, Evangeline, Jefferson Davis, Rapides, St. Landry, Vernon, and West Cameron. In southeast Texas, Hardin, Jefferson, Northern Jasper, Northern Newton, Orange, Southern Jasper, Southern Newton, and Tyler.

* From Wednesday morning through Thursday evening

* Tropical Storm Cindy will move northwest toward the southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana coast tonight through early Thursday. Periods of heavy rainfall are expected across the area as the storm reaches the coast and moves inland. Excessive rainfall will be capable of producing widespread flooding. Average rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches is expected with isolated amounts of up to 10 inches possible where heavier rainbands train over the region.

* The flooding of roads, low lying areas, and areas with poor drainage will be possible. If encountering flooded roadways, remember to turn around, don`t drown.
