The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
June 19th
0713 Hours: Officer Taylor investigated the theft of a white 1998 Ford F250 pickup (CA License #62864E1) from Forever Green, 37330 Cedar Boulevard.
1055 Hours: Officers contacted and arrested a 36 year old Newark male for possession of a controlled substance during a probation search on the 5800 block of Fair Avenue. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
1134 Hours: Community Service Officer Verandes recovered a 2017 Toyota that was reported stolen out of Hayward on Birch Street at Dahlia Drive. The registered owner was notified of the recovery.
1639 Hours: Officer Khairy contacted and arrested a 30 year old Newark male for possession of brass knuckles and drug paraphernalia on Jasmine Avenue at Bluebell Drive. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
