The North Brunswick Office of Emergency Management advises residents that severe thunderstorms are possible between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m., which will impact the evening commute.
The storms can produce isolated wind gusts of 40 to 60 miles per hour and very heavy downpours. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour may lead to flash flooding of roads. Frequent lightning, including cloud-to-ground strikes are expected.

Lingering rain and non-severe storms can remain until a little after sunset. Conditions improve later tonight with a less humid day tomorrow.
