The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
June 6th
0725 Hours: Officer Mapes investigated a minor injury auto accident on the 36300 block of Cherry Street. The injured party was treated at the scene.
1350 Hours: Officer Herbert responded to Macy’s, NewPark Mall for a shoplifter in custody. Officer Herbert arrested the 18 year old Hayward male for petty theft. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
1414 Hours: Officer Mapes investigated the theft of tools and stereo speakers from an unlocked vehicle on the 7500 block of Snow Avenue.
1435 Hours: Officers responded to the 6100 block of Madelaine Drive for a reported disturbance. Officer Mapes contacted and arrested a 25 year old Newark Male for violation of a restraining order. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
