#025 False Registration, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Burglary Tools
At 12:14 p.m., Officer Butcher conducted a traffic stop in the area of Fremont and Thornton on a vehicle that had expired registration. The registration had expired as of March, however Officer Butcher noticed the license plate had a 2018 sticker affixed.  During his investigation he and arrested a 30 year old adult male for false evidence of registration, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of burglary tools.

#009 Assault with a Deadly Weapon Incident
Officer Carter investigated an assault with a deadly weapon that occurred on 6/5/2017, in the 41700 block of Boyce Rd between two employees.  The investigation will be forwarded to the District Attorney for charging.

#020 Commercial Burglary
Officer Carter investigated a commercial burglary at a hotel in the 42200 block of Albrae St.

#021 Commercial Burglary Attempt
CSO Ernst investigated an attempted commercial burglary in the 46600 block of Fremont Bl. Video shows a white or Hispanic male exit a black Jeep Cherokee, attempt to force open the back doors, and leave after being unsuccessful. Four other commercial burglaries have been reported at this business complex in the past month.

#022 Residential Burglary
CSO Anders investigated a residential burglary in the 40500 block of Las Palmas. Suspect(s) broke a kitchen window to gain entry to a vacant rental house undergoing a remodel. The loss is three sets of Levolor window blinds.

#023 Gold Chain Snatch Robbery
At just after noon, a 40 year old adult female victim was robbed of a gold chain, in the 47100 block of Fernald St. The suspect was described as a black male approximately 25 years old, 5’4” tall, medium build, wearing a black hoodie and black pants.  The suspect was only able to leave with a partial section of the chain.  The victim sustained small scratches to her neck.  Leitch Elementary was put into lockdown for about ten minutes while the area was being checked. Officer Carter investigated this robbery.  The suspect was not located.

#026 Gold Chain Snatch Robbery
At 12:34 p.m., we received a call of a chain snatch robbery in the 3900 block of Stevenson Blvd. The suspect in this case was described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 5’4” tall, medium build, wearing a black hoodie and white shoes. The victim, a 29 year old adult female was approached from behind and shoved to the ground by the suspect and he pulled the necklace from her neck. .  The suspect was seen getting into the passenger seat of a black or dark grey Nissan Altima that went northbound on Fremont from Bidwell. The victim sustained minor lacerations during the incident.  Officer Scherer investigated this robbery. The two cases may be related.

#048 Unlicensed Driver
At 5:59 p.m., Officer Blanchet conducted a traffic stop near Mowry Avenue and State Street.  He found the 42 year old adult male driver was unlicensed.  He was booked at Fremont Detention Facility.

#037 Shoplifting
At 3:09 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Walmart store on Osgood Rd., because loss prevention had a male detained for theft.  Officer Loughery investigated, then cited and released a 32 year old adult male, Fremont resident.

Swing shift handled two mental health commitments during their shift.
