...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING... The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Florida and southeast Georgia, including the following areas, in Florida, Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Coastal Duval, Coastal Nassau, Columbia, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Inland Duval, Inland Nassau, Marion, Putnam, St. Johns, Suwannee, and Union. In southeast Georgia, Charlton, Clinch, Echols, and Ware.

* Through this evening

* Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected today, with additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches expected within the Flood Watch area. Very heavy rainfall rates will be possible, creating the threat for flooding, particularly in urban areas. Localized rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches will be possible through tonight.

* Motorists should be prepared for rapid reductions in visibility during heavy downpours. Remember, if you encounter a roadway or intersection with flowing water overtop of it, your best option is to Turn Around, Don`t Drown.
