It's Adoption Time

Nature of Incident: It’s Adoption Time Location: Detention Services Division -Todd Road Jail Facility 600 South Todd Road, Santa Paula Date & Time: June 6, 2017 Narrative: The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Detention Services Division is proud to announce the first graduating class of the R.U.F.F. Road (Rehabilitation Utilizing Furry Friends) interactive inmate obedience-training program for dogs. Our dogs Chance, Buddy, Brando, and Lipit are ready for adoption. Each dog completed 14 weeks of training, which ended with an obedience test certifying them by the American Kennel Club (AKC). The obedience training program was to ensure our dogs were ready to be wonderful family pets. The dogs were selected from Ventura County Animal Services. The love and care from the inmate handlers and staff has given these dogs a chance to find a permanent home and more importantly, a family. Don’t miss out on an exciting opportunity to adopt one of these amazing dogs! Applications are now being accepted. The real success of this program will come when each of these dogs has found a permanent home and family. For information on how to adopt Chance, Buddy, Brando, or Lipit please visit www.pivotareo.org and click the “Ready for Adoption” tab.
