RR Crossing on State Road 64 near Oakland City to be closed for repairs starting next week

Railroad Crossing Repair Scheduled for Oakland City
GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure on State Road 64 near Oakland City for a railroad crossing repair.
Beginning on or around Monday, June 12, contractors will begin repairing and resurfacing the crossing just east of the South Fork of the Patoka River. Work is expected to last about five days weather permitting. During the project, local traffic will have access up to the point of closure, however through traffic will need to use the official detour: SR 64, SR 57, SR 56/61.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
