All southbound lanes of SH 360 in Arlington are now open after police investigate early morning fatality crash.

All southbound lanes of SH 360 in Arlington have re-opened after police investigate an early morning crash involving a woman and an infant.

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatality crash that occurred around 5 a.m. today in the 2100 block of State Highway 360. Traffic Investigators say a Honda Accord stalled in a southbound lane of traffic when it was struck by a pickup truck.

Officers arrived to find a female victim outside of the vehicle and a nine-month old infant inside a car seat in the back seat. The infant died a short time later at a local hospital. The woman is being treated for her injuries.

Officers say the driver of the pickup that struck the stalled car was not injured and is cooperating with investigators. This southbound section of SH 360 was closed for a brief period this morning and has since re-opened.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identification of the deceased infant once the next of kin has been notified.
