The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for... Dallas County in north central Texas...
* Until 745 PM CDT.
* At 603 PM CDT, numerous reports of flooding had been made across the warned area. Three to five inches of rain have already fallen with another inch or two possible . Flash flooding is continuing across much of Dallas County, especially in urban areas and low water crossings.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dallas, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie, Mesquite, Carrollton, Richardson, Rowlett, Grapevine, Wylie, Coppell, Duncanville, Lancaster, Farmers Branch, Balch Springs, University Park, Sachse, Addison, Highland Park and Hutchins.
* AFFECTED AREAS: DALLAS
Instructions:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
