Now Open Intersection Rt 522 / Stouts Ln. Reminder - Drivers MUST stop for pedestrians in crosswalks
ROUTE 522 / STOUTS LANE INTERSECTION REOPENED
The Middlesex County Road Department has finished making repairs to the intersection of Route 522 and Stouts Lane. The intersection has been closed since a dump truck crashed on April 26. All the traffic cones have been removed and the intersection is fully operational.
PEDESTRIAN CROSSING REMNDER
South Brunswick Police Chief Raymond Hayducka reminds drivers that they need to stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk. “School is coming to an end and the summer will bring increased pedestrian traffic. Motorists need to be aware of pedestrians and come to a complete stop when they are in a crosswalk,” Chief Hayducka said.
South Brunswick Police are increasing awareness and enforcement of designated pedestrian crossings. Township officials recently improved a pedestrian crossing near the South Brunswick Library on Kingston Lane and police will have an added presence at the location in the coming weeks.
