Newburgh man arrested for traveling in excess of 100 mph on US 41. 
On May 29, 2017 at 6:44 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith observed a White 2016 Audi passenger car traveling northbound on US 41 near County Road 440 North at a very high rate of speed. Upon activating his in car radar Deputy Smith detected the speed of the Audi at 105 mph in a 60 mile per hour zone. Upon conducting a roadside investigation Deputy Smith identified the driver as 22 year old Edgardo Arguello of Newburgh, Indiana. At the end of Deputy Smith’s investigation Mr. Arguello was placed into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Reckless Driving. Mr. Arguello has since posted a $450 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
