New Jersey Regional Operations Intelligence Center (NJ ROIC) reports the State Office of Emergency Management (NJ OEM) is monitoring a weather event in coordination with the National Weather Service (NWS).
Summary: A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for all of New Jersey except for the extreme northeast, as a nor'easter is expected to bring snow, wind and cold temperatures beginning Saturday and ending Sunday.
Impact: Snow predictions have increased somewhat for the south and coast, with up to 14" possible in areas of the heaviest precipitation. The heaviest snow is expected between 0900 hours Saturday and 0300 hours Sunday. Winds in excess of 35 mph along with heavy snow will make travel difficult.
