5/20 - At approximately 12:22 this afternoon a vehicle burglary occurred at the village park, by the volleyball court. The window was broken, and a purse was stolen. The victim and witnesses, who were in the park, identified the suspect as a black male, wearing all black clothing. He was seen getting into a gray mini-van with heavily tinted windows. The van is further described as possibly being a Dodge. A description of the driver was not obtained. The vehicle was last seen headed northbound on State Route 163. Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit was summoned to process the vehicle, and surrounding agencies were alerted to the incident.
