The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.
May 17th
0842 Hours: Officer Mapes contacted and arrested a 38 year old Newark male for possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
0919 Hours: Officer Rivas contacted and arrested a 30 year old transient female for her outstanding warrant. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
0920 Hours: Officer Fredstrom contacted and arrested a 23 year old Newark male for possessing drug paraphernalia. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
1032 Hours: Officer Fredstrom investigated a vehicle burglary in the Courtyard Hotel parking lot, 34906 Newark Boulevard. The loss is video production equipment.
1557 Hours: Officer Slavazza contacted and arrested a 25 year old San Francisco male for his outstanding warrant. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
1639 Hours: Officer Ackerman investigated a residential burglary on the 36100 block of Bayonne Driver. The loss is unknown at this time.
1730 Hours: Officer Slavazza contacted and arrested a 51 year old Fremont male for possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
1903 Hours: Officer Norvell responded to an investigated an attempted auto-burglary on the 6300 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue. There is no known loss.
