On May 15, 2017 at 3:41, 46 year old Robert Kenneth Evans of Griffin, Indiana was taken into custody on a warrant issued out of Gibson County Superior Court. Sergeant Bruce Vanoven in cooperation with the Evansville Police Department began an investigation in April as to whether Mr. Evans was complying with the Indiana State Statutes regarding registered sex offender requirements. As a result of Sergeant Vanoven’s investigation the Gibson County Prosecutor’s Office submitted charges on Mr. Evans for Failure to Register as a Sex or Violent Offender, with a Prior Conviction.

Mr. Evans was located at a residence in Evansville and was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the jail Mr. Evans was served the warrant and is currently being held on a $1250 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
