Free Energy & Solar Workshop - Chula Vista Solar Experience (5/23)

Learn the facts about solar and energy efficiency from industry experts at the Chula Vista Solar Experience.

Local San Diego-based nonprofit organizations, the Center for Sustainable Energy and the Climate Action Campaign, will join Sullivan Solar Power at the Chula Vista Solar Experience on May 23, 2017. The Chula Vista Solar Experience will take place in the afternoon and will start with a brief introduction from City staff on energy efficiency programs for Chula Vista residents, followed by a presentation from each organization, an electric vehicle (EV) showcase and solar technology fair. The Technology fair will also feature the Library’s “energy lounge” tools, such as energy focused books, energy monitors and LED light bulbs, which can be checked out at no cost to help residents save energy. Each will offer educational information in response to a growing demand for independent and accurate facts about solar power for homeowners.

Attendees of the Chula Vista Solar Experience will learn how solar works, battery storage and integration, policy changes, available incentives, financing options, how to choose a solar provider, energy saving programs for residents, energy resources and tools at the library, new solar rules and more. The EV Ride and Drive event will coincide with the event and will allow attendees to learn how to power their home and vehicle with the sun.

The Center for Sustainability, Climate Action Campaign and Sullivan Solar Power will host the event at the Chula Vista Civic Center Library Auditorium located at: 365 F Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910 from 4:00 – 6:00pm.
